ABOUT SAVANNAHS
Rare, Exotic, and Beautiful. That's how I describe this unique breed. A Savannah is a cross between an African Serval and a domestic cat. Depending on which generation of Savannah you are looking at will determine how many generations it actually is from the Serval. A F1 is the direct offspring from the Serval, so what that means is the father is a Serval. A F2 will have a grandpa as a Serval. A F3 will have a great-great grandpa as a serval. A F4 will have a great-great-great grandpa as a Serval. And so on. Then you have The SBT generation of Savannah. Which stands for Stud Book Tradition. You need at least 3 generations of Savannah to Savannah breeding only to achieve this generation. No out crosses . These are the perfect generation for people with other animals and small children for their temperment is more predictable. Sbt Savannahs are also allowed to be shown in The International Cat Association a preliminary new breed, so if your looking for a show cat this is the generation to look for.
